Some of the bigger changes in a sound profile a user suggested to me seems to be a big reduction in the 1kHz frequency band, and this seems to help this phone a LOT in terms of instrumental separation and overall clarity. It sounds like garbage out of the box (again IMO), but can actually be made presentable with some hacks and a bit of EQ. The S23 Ultra, in my opinion, is such a case. I personally am not used to setting sound profiles on a device to attempt to get "better" sound, but for some sets of crappy sound systems, I believe an EQ can help them be much more presentable and/or even bring them back towards a neutral sound signature if their default frequency response is not neutral. My issue was not one of "sound preference", but simple clarity and instrumental/vocal separation. But again, my S21 Ultra is at its factory equaliser settings. The audio quality becomes much better, even better than my Galaxy S21 Ultra. I know this is five months late, but I randomly stumbled on this topic while looking around for an EQ to try to fix the annoying sound issues that I was having with my S23 Ultra at default settings. I use these settings on the custom equaliser for my Galaxy S22 Ultra.
